Fairy Fairgrounds

At night, the fairgrounds are a bustle of activity, sights, sounds and scents. Lights are flashing on the rides, barkers are calling out, trying to get people to play their games. "Three balls for a dollar," the man at the bowling pin counter cries out from behind a pile of huge stuffed animals. Next to him, a concession stand vendor fills cardboard containers with delicious buttery popcorn. Mmmmmm. I can smell it now.

Further along, past the concession stands and games area are the rides. Music blares as the Octopus whips its passengers around in little bucket seats, and nearby, the carousel plays a gentle melody as the riders try to grab the golden ring. In the middle of the fairgrounds stands the glorious Ferris Wheel. Passengers young and old, single, married and young lovers, take the ride to the top of the wheel and gaze out at the landscape. They can see for miles. Stars twinkling above, the darkness of the lake, and the bright lights of the town all make a sight worth seeing.

It was with the fairgrounds in mind that I got to work. Not ordinary fairgrounds, but a fairy fairground. One of beautiful colours and a touch of magic. I hope that I have accomplished that goal in this fractal fantasy.
