Goldfinches on Fence

I made the mistake of giving my husband his Bluebirds on Fence painting a wee bit early. He took it to show his mother and she fell in love with it and asked for a painting for Christmas. I had only 2 weeks until Christmas and I had tons of stuff still to do for the big day.

The week before Christmas, I found time to paint the background and block in the fence of this one. Christmas Eve, after everyone was in bed, I got to work. I finished the painting at 9:30 a.m. Christmas morning, got it into it's frame and ready to deliver to my mother-in-law that afternoon. Silly me forgot to take the photo before it was framed! LOL Anyway, my mother-in-law loves her Goldfinches on Fence. ^_^

Painted with acrylic on 18" x 20" stretched canvas.
